Stainless Steel 317L Sheets and Plates consist of roughly 18–20% chromium, 11–15% nickel, 3–4% molybdenum, and a low carbon content (≤0.03%). This distinctive composition boosts resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and intergranular attack. The alloy boasts a tensile strength of 515–690 MPa, a yield strength of about 205 MPa, and an elongation of up to 35%. It also maintains excellent formability, weldability, and oxidation resistance at higher temperatures. Stainless Steel 317L Sheet and Plates is a low-carbon 317, providing superior corrosion resistance, especially in acidic environments.
